Twillingate 7-22-14

Twillingate is delightful!  Enjoying the Icebergs daily as they change, move on or disappear. The scenery is enjoyable.  There is music and entertainment to enjoy.

Monday night it was a dinner theater with Newfie Humor and skits.IMG_0756

Tuesday night was a popular local group – “Split Peas”.  Split Pea Soup is a traditional dinner made with a bit of meat, yellow peas, plenty of carrots and turnips – sometimes serve with a dumpling.  But sidetracked --- the Split Peas were very enjoyable!

Of course there was an “Ugly Stick” (rhythm maker) and some “Mummers” (dressed up with Masks)IMG_0799IMG_0815 IMG_0816

And during the day, time to check on those icebergs and enjoy the pleasant views.IMG_0778 IMG_0784

I hope you didn't have to eat that soup.

The Split Peas performers were great. And we've also eaten good pea soup, Jan!
