Halifax Day 7-2-14

The English Halifax Citadel – protected fort – was staffed with college students in period 1865 costumes.  The fort entrance is guarded by a soldier.  The entrance thru a draw bridge (moat surrounding the entire fort) and tunnel.

Rooms around the fort wall were used for offices, storage. Center grounds for demonstrations = bayonette practice, bagpipers marching, cannon maintenance, shooting demonstrations
