6-12-13 It is time to leave Teklanika Campground. The morning is sunny, bright with a cloudless sky. And to our pleasant surprise, the skies continued clear and bright giving us many views of Denali as we leave the park and head south. Trees have leafed out and the forest is green along the way.
Stopped in Talkeetna for dinner and a Jet Boat Ride at Mahay’s.
And more GRAND views of Denali
And a stop at an old trappers cabin and Athabascan Smoke shelter for Salmon.
Along the way today we saw a momma moose and baby, a fox, and a pair of eagles. Tonight we’re parking at Kashwitna Lake enjoying the sunset with distant views of Mt McKinley – known as Denali.
