The finale brought all of the groups back to commemorate 100 yrs (from WWI to Afghanistan) those that died and to sing the national anthems of US for the 4th of July and Canada.  A Grand Experience.IMG_0090

Awaiting “Arthur” 7-5-14

The US is sending “Arthur” north to Nova Scotia.  Though downgraded now – we are anticipating 40-60 mph winds and rain later today.  We took a drive to Peggy’s Cove to see the waves and wind.  The little coves are a bit choppy, but at Peggy’s the wind does blow:

We drove around the cove – circling back to Halifax and to Wayside Campground.  Surprise – the sun came out – the wind does blow.  We’ll see what Arthur gives to us later today…….

Again drove to Peggy’s Cove to see “Arthur” in action later in the day.  The sea is still boiling and the winds do blow!

And over night the storm blew away. New Brunswick and PEI got most of the storm.  We had no expected rains.  7/6 and the sun is shining – time to go touring in Halifax.

Nova Scotia South Shore 7-1-14

We are staying along the south shore east of Halifax at Wayside Campground.  Jerry Avis – fellow SKP stays the summer at this park and has been our tour guide.  This morning he took me sailing on his boat – a delightful light breeze.

Below is quite the painted house.
